Nicola won a drone at Asia Math Engineering Challenge (AMEC) 2018 in Singapore. The AMEC Drone Workshop was conducted by SkillsHQ Academy. The scope was introduction to drones and safety in handling and flying drones. Delegates were given the chance to try to fly a drone, too.
Other classmates of his simultaneously joined the VR Learning Workshop conducted by Hiverlab, a pioneering info-comm media technology innovation and content production company based in Singapore. The main focus was to introduce Storyhive which is Hiverlab’s proprietary system and platform for interactive presentation, broadcasting, and communication with immersive technology. The delegates created their own Virtual reality story using uploaded pictures of their country.
Is Nicola just a drone winner? He studies Grade 6 at Cambridge International School of Cambodia (CISC). Besides winning the drone, he is also a gold medalist for his team’s project on Automatic Candy Dispenser (using light sensor). Back from Singapore with Gold!
